Upper Yarra Valley Chardonnay
Wine
The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Chardonnay draws from a vineyard in Yellingbo at the southern end of the Yarra Valley, planted to Penfolds clone Chardonnay vines.
The fruit is harvested and whole bunch pressed. The next day the juice is run with full solids into two French oak barrels for wild yeast fermentation. For maturation the wine is left on lees without stirring.
Straw green, The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Chardonnay is light, fresh and fruit driven with subtle savoury complexity. Cellaring potential is five years.
